WOW!!! its been that long?!..

Hello everyone! Its been so long since I last posted...I think I'm the worst blogger of all bloggers! but when my right brain is working my left brain doesnt want to kick in :) We have been very busy - working on Auction projects, Rodeo Art and of course, our book project for Mr. Patrick Talley. I have many pictures that I want to post for you. I will be posting them in the next few days - promise!  My little art friends are amazing - they work so hard and seem to enjoy every minute of it! I,on the other hand, am stressing that each project will not be done in time...but they always are :) "Someone" must be watching over us....always a good feeling.  Rodeo art is our priority right now. We have a lot of work to do before Christmas break - say a prayer for us! Hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving - Ill talk to you all again soon. Much love and creativity! Cathy

Author, Patrick Talley visits SMCS!!

Our jellyfish from last year turned into flowers!!

Remember our jellyfish that we made for 1st grade showcase last year.....we made them into flowers!! Using the same techinique, K - 3rd helped to decorate our Borski hallway!!.... It may be 110 degress outside but we are still blooming at St. Martha :) As much as I would like to take credit for this idea...nope cant do it!! I found this on the blog Frugal Family Fun...while stumbling one night! I just love "stumbleupon"..... This is my favorite part of the hallway...when the sun shines through the windows and creates these beautiful silhouettes...this is God's part of our masterpiece...He is using his sun to enhance our work on the window....Love it!! Have a wonderful day!!

Chasing Degas by Eva Montanari...

My little ones, kinder and 1st, are learning this week about the artist, Edgar Degas and his ballerinas. Yes, I've gotten a few groans from my boys but I've promised them a lesson on airplanes or robots before we leave for the summer....we're still trying to come to some agreement . :)

"Painting" with tissue paper....well, kinda..

Fourth grade has been busy working on these....they were to make the tissue paper look like paint. I guess you can call it a faux stained glass. Using acetate, permanent markers, glue, and tissue paper they made these awesome birds!

We love Frida Kahlo!!

The Book, Me, Frida, is a beautiful book about Frida Kahlo. The illustrations are phenomenal!!....Well, almost as good as my little artist's illustrations!! :)

Cinco de Mayo....

Dont you just love this...you can find beauty anywhere....!!

.....I mean absolutely anywhere!!! - Hope you are having a blessed day!! Changed my quote up there from Pope John Paul II to Blessed John Paul II!!!! Praise God!!! :) Sending lots of Love to you all!!
