Creating second boot for convention!!....

Hi all,

I am in the process of creating a second boot for convention for our parish office. If anyone is in need of any additional photos of the process that are not included here, please let me know. I would be more than happy to take very detailed photos of any step that you might be having problems. Please contact me at smcsart@gmail.com.

Blessings to you!
Cathy

omg... we are still working on our first. Did you have to cut the chicken wire?

Lisa
Yes - use wire cutters to cut it.. then form it around the boot...after you've formed it - stuff the area between the blue styrofoam and the chicken wire with newspaper...Fun, Fun :)

Houw long does it take to make the boot?
The armature/framing of the boot could be done in one day along with one layer of paper mache if you have a full day to spend on it. Then it all depends on how you process from there. Each layer of paper mache needs to dry completely before adding the next layer. My first boot was done with one layer of paper mache then I added the paper clay that is on the blog. Thats all that was needed for that boot.
